        Bröllop Rånäs slott

Rånäs slott is the ideal location for those seeking a rustic castle setting conveniently close to Stockholm, Uppsala, and Arlanda. With its own dedicated wedding coordinator, Rånäs slott offers expert assistance in planning your special day. The castle can accommodate around 80 overnight guests and boasts a well-established wedding day concept. I had the privilege of photographing Christoffer and Rebecca’s wedding at Rånäs slott, and what a day it turned out to be! While the end of July marked a rainy period in Sweden, luck was on our side as the rain held off just when needed. We captured the preparations in the grand, luminous bridal suite before Christoffer and Rebecca braved the elements for their first look outdoors, with the castle as a stunning backdrop.

A three-day celebration at Rånäs slott

Christoffer and Rebecca kicked off their wonderful wedding weekend with a barbecue dinner and spa evening the night before their wedding. This allowed them the perfect opportunity to unwind, connect with their guests, and create a delightful prelude to their big day. Having overnight guests instantly creates a cozy atmosphere in my opinion, where everyone can relax and savor the entire weekend. The day after the wedding, everyone can gather for brunch, reminiscing about the day before and thus tying together the wedding weekend.

        Ceremony venue

Christoffer and Rebecca held their ceremony in my favorite spot, the castle garden at Rånäs slott. Given the intermittent heavy rain, the backup plan was to hold the ceremony on the grand, beautiful castle staircase that greets you just to the right as you enter the castle. The staircase exudes elegance, but there’s certainly something special about being able to exchange vows outdoors.

        About Rånäs slott

One of the major advantages of hosting your wedding at Rånäs slott, in my opinion, is the elimination of transportation logistics. This means you can spend more quality time with your guests without worrying about travel complications. The estate offers a plethora of picturesque photo spots, both within the castle grounds and in nearby areas. My personal favorite is the weathered stone wall. The wedding dinner is often held in the Gallery, the largest dining room that accommodates up to 100 people and is adorned with vibrant original paintings. Alternatively, you can opt for a dinner in the castle garden under a tent. With its roots dating back to the 1830s, Rånäs slott sits beautifully by a large lake, adding to its charm and allure.
